Fifth Sharpsburg VFD Fundraiser To Feature Kash Defending Ferraro Cup, Biggest Tag Team Title Matchup Ever

In 2010, the Keystone State Wrestling Alliance (KSWA) traveled just north of Lawrenceville and over the Allegheny River to settle in at the Sharpsburg Volunteer Fire Department. That first event was highlighted with then-KSWA World Champion The Latin Assassin successfully defending against Vinnie Stone. Hometown favorite “The Future” Shane Starr also defeated “Dr. Devastation” Lou Martin on November 6. This Saturday, the KSWA returns for its fifth fundraiser.
Last year the Mario Ferraro Sr. Memorial Tournament debuted with Kris Kash the last Megastar standing. This year he will defend the tournament Cup against a formidable field, including Martin, “Mr. Puniverse” Bob Atlas and “The King” Del Douglas. The tournament was a huge success, and this year’s installment will be just as popular, if not moreso.
At 660 lbs., the reigning and defending KSWA Tag Team Champions—“Big” Mike Malachi and the 7-foot-tall Jack Massacre—have their hands full with the 650-lb team of Golden Triangle Champion Bulldozer and Blood Beast. With a combined weight of more than 1,300 pounds, this match features the biggest matchup in KSWA history. All four are among the most decorated Megastars in the organization’s 14 year existence. This hard-hitting, ring-shifting battle will be one for the ages.
An 8-Man Tag team match features KSWA World Champion and Sharpsburg’s own Shane Starr teaming with Party Gras and Kaida to take on J-Ru, 5-Star Champion Bobby Badfingers and the Mercenaries—“Nasty” Nick Crane and Sniper. Starr is at the top of his game, even with rival J-Ru waiting in the shadows. Party Gras continues to battle the Mercenaries whenever given the chance and Badfingers has been belly-aching about facing top-notch competition. He may have found it in former Legion of the Apocalypse stable-mate Kaida.
“The Enforcer” Shawn Blanchard has been publicly arguing with KSWA Owner Bobby O in recent weeks, and he’s been rewarded with a mysterious “Open Challenge Gauntlet Match.” Bobby O isn’t saying much and Verified Investment Partner/KSWA Owner Tommy Faime has gotten into social media dust ups with Blanchard. The stipulations around this match are just nutty and confusing. Wrestling fans will just have to see what’s going on this Saturday.
And “Ice Man” Tony Johnson will team with Super Ginger to take on Edric Everhart and Tyler Cross in tag team competition. Formerly known as Canadians and then members of the VIPs, Everhart and Cross have always wanted to represent under their own terms. With that they will be teaming as “System Elite,” a name they’ve given to themselves in regional promotions throughout the region. It’s known that the duo never embraced their JP Goulet and Drew Belanger personas and weren’t a good fit along with Shawn Blanchard and Lou Martin as VIPs. In fact, Blanchard hand-picked the duo to help take the VIPs into the next generation. Instead, the faction no longer exists.
This Saturday, November 8 the KSWA “Road To FanFest” stops at the Sharpsburg Volunteer Fire Department, 1611 Main Street, Sharpsburg, PA 15215. Bell time is 7:00 p.m. All tickets are $10. For Ticket & Event Information Call 412-726-1762. Card is subject to change.
