The Keystone State Wrestling Alliance (KSWA) is preparing for the Sheraden Spectacular on Sunday, October 21 with two big title defenses. The KSWA debuts in of the city’s premier, family-friendly western neighborhoods for this Sunday matinee.

Regardless as to who will be the Golden Triangle Champion one day after the KSWA’s debut in Mt. Pleasant, PA, the city’s most prestigious title will be defended within the Pittsburgh municipal limits. Whether that means the current champion Double-A Anthony Alexander, or his longtime foe and VIP anchor Shawn Blanchard, the gold will the on the line.

The KSWA tag team championships will be defended as well in Sheraden. Kris Kash and Shane Starr, two of professional wrestling’s most prolific tag teams, will defend against two members of the VIPs. Tommy Faime and either “The Face of Pittsburgh” Lou Martin or Shawn Blanchard (if he doesn’t win the Golden Triangle belt on Saturday) will go up against the nearly-legendary Lost Boyz. In recent weeks and months, Kash and Starr have amped up their defenses and have beaten some of the best tag teams around. Recently, and just a few Sundays ago, they bested Team 12 Gauge, and then later Blanchard and Martin in a ruckus Lawrenceville Street Fight. The tag team champions will assuredly bring their renewed intensity and fervor to Sheraden and its Krazies. Martin, who is at the absolute top of his game, will bring his pomp, circumstance, ego and garbage pants to Sheraden.

In Fatal Four-Way competition, Tanner Reynolds, Sly Scarpone, Lucio Deveer and The Jester are expected to put on an entertaining athletic exhibition. All four wrestlers have their own unique style with Reynolds and Deveer featuring hard-hitting arsenals, while Scarpone mixes technical and powerful moves. And then there’s the always unorthodox and unconventional Jester. One of the KSWA’s most beloved grapplers, The Jester has matched styles with all kinds of Megastars. There’s no doubt whatsoever that this will be a match to experience.

Team 12 Gauge—“The Scum Bag” Zak Hunter and “The West Virginia Hammer” Harley T. Morris, who failed to gain KSWA tag team gold despite a number of opportunities—will move down the ranks of prospective challengers. That doesn’t mean, however, that they won’t face daunting opponents. Things don’t get easier for the veteran team as they face the combination of former KSWA Heavyweight Champion Mitch Napier and the always-improving “Big Country” Matt McGraw. Team 12 Gauge find themselves battling two of the most powerful Megastars on the entire roster.

BROhemoth continues to make indelible impressions wherever he goes and his name will be chanted in Sheraden when he takes on the always competitive Officer Dan Murphy. The two recently met as part of an 8-man tag match at Fam Con and this will be a good challenge for both super heavyweights. Murphy could use a victory in this showdown with the very popular bronomaly. Murphy has proven that he has the muscle necessary to slow down any Megastar, and BROhemoth has proven that he is ready for any opponent. This match could shake the walls of American Legion Langley Post 496.

Another Megastar that’s doing the most with all of his opportunities is Yinza, the Pittsburgh Luchadore. He will take on “The King” Del Douglas in one-on-one action. Douglas is in one of the most important stretches of his long career, recently winning the Mexican War Streets title against La Lucha, and now he faces the Mexican War Streets’ favorite son! Few Megastars have the same in-ring experience as Yinza, yet few are on such a dramatic up-swing as the Pittsburgh Luchadore. Will Del Douglas continue with his winning ways, or Yinza poised to make another progressive leap up the KSWA’s competitive ladder?

As for big impact, the 7-foot-tall Jack Massacre is scheduled to face off against “The Drunken Luchadore” Joey Quervo, as well as Trick McSorley in a Triple Threat match rematch from the day before. The long-time veteran Quervo doesn’t find himself on a winning streak, and Trick McSorley has been working diligently to keep himself in contention for Mario Ferraro Sr. Tournament and FanFest spots. Massacre has improved his intensity level since being led by Mayor Mystery. After missing a number of shows earlier in the year, its also imperative for the giant to be on the winning track. This will be a significant weekend for the veteran.

KSWA debuts across town in the Sheraden neighborhood within the city of Pittsburgh at American Legion Langley Post 496, 2863 Chartiers Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15204. Special bell time of 2:00 p.m. All tickets are $10. For more information, call 412-726-1762. Card subject to change.
