It will certainly be an opportunity to retrieve a table next Saturday as the Keystone State Wrestling Alliance (KSWA) returns to MJ’s Steel City Saloon. In one of the biggest tag team matches of the year, Imperial, PA’s favorite son, “Big Country” Matt McGraw will team with the KSWA Hall of Famer and international legend T-Rantula against Jack Massacre and “Big” Mike Malachi.
The rivalry between these four Megastars have been brewing for a long time. In fact, the animosity between T-Rantula and Massacre extends well over a year. Once friends, the 7-foot-tall Massacre and the iconic T-Rantula have battled before, during and after injuries. Add the KSWA’s original “Big” Man Malachi and “Big Country” in the mix and the organization has four of the most powerful entities in one ring. The KSWA Championship Committee has declared that a Table Match might be able to settle some bad blood.
A Golden Triangle Championship title match of iconic proportions is set this Saturday as VIP anchor “The Face of Pittsburgh” Lou Martin challenges long-time title holder “Double A” Anthony Alexander. These two combatants have faced off countless times over the past 20 years and they are both at the top of their respective games. Alexander is in a successful, second reign while Martin has been a two-time Golden Triangle Champion (2001 and 2015). Now, two of the biggest names in the history of the historic KSWA go face-to-face over the city of Pittsburgh’s biggest prize.
The KSWA’s revitalized KSWA Five-Star Championship is on the line this Saturday as current champion Bubba the Bulldog defends against a former two-time Five-Star Champion in Harley T. Morris. Morris has feuded with former tag team partner and friend Zak Hunter; meanwhile, Bubba has taking on all comers, including Sly Scarpone. Scarpone famously defeated Bubba for the Five-Star belt during an “Open Challenge.” However, Bubba, who earned a Battle Bowl opportunity for the Five-Star Championship in January, cashed in and recaptured. In many ways, “The West Virginia Hammer” provides a physical challenge to Bubba that he’s rarely faced in his reign(s). Nevertheless, Bubba the Bulldog has never been better inside the squared circle. He has successfully defended against the biggest, the baddest and most experienced. “The Best Wrestler in the World” gets a chance to show the Krazies that he means it.
The Pittsburgh Luchadore, Yinza, is coming off of a big showing at the Cinco de Mayhem Street Fight. Krazies saw Yinza get more intense in and out of the squared circle, and in a grappling highlight, go toe-to-toe with friend and one-time training partner “Big Country” Matt McGraw. Coming off of that battle, he faces fellow Street Fight competitor “King” Del Douglas in one-on-one competition. Douglas, who also took a royal beating at Cinco de Mayhem, nearly won the contest himself. Two well-established Megastars will put all of their efforts into this event.
Another matchup of veteran KSWA Megastars features multi-time champion Shane Starr taking on multi-time champion Shawn Blanchard. The rivalry between these two wrestlers never really wanes, and Starr was once a member of the VIPs. This hard-hitting contest is a must-see for KSWA Krazies everywhere.
Now that Mitch Napier and BROhemoth are the new KSWA Tag Team Champions, the entire division is in a shakeup. One-half of the new champions, Napier, tags with Zak Hunter to take on the team of Lawless and Order, David Lawless and Officer Dan Murphy. Might this be the opportunity The Gavel and the Law Man to move up the competitive ladder. It will be interesting to see how Napier and Hunter work together, as they have not worked as tag team partners before. Lawless and Murphy are one of the KSWA’s up and coming teams and this would be a good opportunity to impress the KSWA Championship Committee.
