The Keystone State Wrestling Alliance (KSWA) returns to the Pittsburgh’s Sheraden neighborhood on Saturday, August 10 and one Megastar is going to get a sudden opportunity at the Commonwealth’s top prize!
All told, there will be seven great matches scheduled including a Tag Team Title Match and the inaugural Langley American Legion “Tim Moore Memorial Battle Royal” with the winner facing KSWA Heavyweight Champion Dennis Gregory later in the night. Gregory has been riding high at the top of the competitive ladder and isn’t particularly happy about not knowing who he will face. Nevertheless, Mayor Mystery’s top client says that he will successfully defend against any Megastar around.
The KSWA Tag Team Championships are on the line as “The Best Bros Around” Mitch Napier and BROhemoth defend against the now-legendary Pittsburgh duo of Shawn Blanchard and Lou Martin—the VIPs. Napier and BROhemoth look to cement themselves as a formidable championship team and successfully defending against the VIPs would help prop them up in the eyes of the KSWA Championship Committee. Blanchard and Tommy Faime were the champions and “Dr. Devastation” is fresh off of an impressive Battle Under the Bridge ladder match for that match’s championship.
The match between Kris Kash and “The Enigma” Lucio Deveer will assuredly be an interesting contest. In recent months, Deveer has fine-tuned his physique and focused more on in-ring competition. Kash has continued on his 14-year-career of some of the fastest and quickest action in KSWA history. Kash has jumped off of balconies and buses and took part in the very first Brawl Under the Bridge match, along with the winner Deveer. The two have vastly different styles and should match up uniquely.
“The Rev” Ron Hunt and “King” Del Douglas continue to influence in their short time together as a team. They will take on the hardest-hitting team currently in Pittsburgh—“Big Country” Matt McGraw and the iconic T-Rantula. Neither Hunt nor Douglas will compete with the raw physicality and power of their opponents, but “The King” is an experienced veteran who has wrestled everyone, and “The Rev” is one of the hottest up-and-coming talents in Western Pennsylvania.
The now former KSWA Golden Triangle Champion “Double-A” Anthony Alexander looks to get back on the championship track and he will face another surging Megastar in Harley T. Morris. Morris remains one of the KSWA’s most carnal competitors and a hungry Prime Time Player will make this showdown a highlight of the evening. Alexander maintains the strength advantage, but it may not be as distinct as some might believe.
The Pittsburgh Luchadore, Yinza, who awed the fans at Brawl Under the Bridge, takes on the always unpredictable grappler from the War Streets of America’s North Coast, the Cleveland Bruiser. Since his time in the KSWA, Yinza has not only improved, he has gotten stronger, more aggressive and has taken more chances. The Bruiser hasn’t been seen too often in recent months, so it is possible that he has driven a similar career path.
On Saturday, August 10, the KSWA returns to American Legion Langley Post 496, 2863 Chartiers Avenue in the Sheraden neighborhood within the city of Pittsburgh, PA 15204. Bell time is 7:00 p.m. All tickets are $10.00. For more information, please call 412-726-1762. Card is subject to change.
