KSWA Megastars, Including Gregory, Bubba, VIPs And More Eager To Impress On Last Road Stop Before FanFest

It’s the last stop on the long and winding road to FanFest for the Keystone State Wrestling Alliance (KSWA) as the Megastars return to Brackenridge. This stop is for the Brandy Marie Cheer and Pioneer Hose Company fundraiser.

The most coveted wrestling championship in the Commonwealth is on the line as reigning titleholder Dennis Gregory defends against the young and competitive Zak Hunter. The two Megastars have met previously this year, but the KSWA Championship Committee believes that Hunter can provide a good charge to the resilient champion. And Hunter is plenty hungry to finally earn championship gold.

The Golden Triangle Champion Bubba the Bulldog didn’t have the best evening last Saturday as part of the 7th annual Mario Ferraro Sr. Memorial Tournament. He made it to the finals but ended up losing to winner Anthony Alexander. And after that, Bubba found himself tapping out to Shane Starr’s Sharpsburg Sharpshooter. A seething Bubba will be taking on the returning J-Ru in one-on-one competition. J-Ru, a favorite of the KSWA Championship Committee, does make his way back to the KSWA from time to time and in this case earns an opportunity at the city of Pittsburgh’s most prestigious prize.

The VIPs—Shawn Blanchard and Lou Martin—may be the industry’s most successful tag team champions in 2019. The group has gone a long way and successfully defended the KSWA tag team championships against a litany of challengers. This time the 6-time KSWA tag team champions defend against Yinza (who they faced last week) and this week’s partner “Big Country” Matt McGraw. Very little that hasn’t been said already can describe the VIPs. They are masters of what they do and few teams anywhere on the planet are peers. Can one-time training partners and friends Yinza and Big Country be on their “A” game for the most important match of their still-young careers? The teams are geared up and realize that this match will serve to showcase their roles in FanFest on December 7.

It’s “The Professional” Harley T. Morris who will run into the hottest Megastar on the roster, Double-A Anthony Alexander. Alexander has been on a roll since losing the Golden Triangle Championship to Bubba the Bulldog earlier this year, he won the Mario Ferraro Sr. Memorial Tournament and has challenged Dennis Gregory to a championship match (if Gregory gets by Hunter on this night). Morris has had an impressive run since becoming a more serious “Professional” and he has met Alexander on this stage before. The two will have a hard-hitting contest Saturday night.

Two of the largest professional wrestlers current in the game meet up as the iconic T-Rantula faces off with Officer Dan Murphy. Both men are over 300 pounds and they are both closer to seven feet tall compared to six. Murphy has been on the receiving end of Nacho City, so he has learned how to stay away from such high velocity snack food deliveries. Or has he?

The Best Bros Around, BROhemoth and Mitch Napier, will tangle with the unorthodox team of “The Enigma” Lucio Deveer and newcomer Malaki Gage. Deveer has never been far off of the championship trail and teaming with Gage may be the break he needs to impress the Championship Committee.

And two Megastars who have renaissances of sorts in 2019 have been “The King” Del Douglas and Justin Sane. The two have battled each other this year, and will do so again this Saturday.

The KSWA returns to Brackenridge this Saturday, November 9, at the Pioneer Hose Company #2, 124 Morgan Street, Brackenridge, PA 15104. The event is a fundraiser for the Brandy Marie Cheer and Pioneer Hose Company. Bell time is at 7:00 p.m. All tickets are $10. Call 412-726-1762 for more information. Card is subject to change.
