After one year, two months and 23 days, the Keystone State Wrestling Alliance (KSWA) is set to return to action this Friday evening.
KSWA Owner Bobby O and the Championship Committee has been hard at work, preparing for this important outdoor live event at JB’s Roadside Bar & Grille in West Deer Township. Doors open at 6:00 p.m., with bell time at 7:00 p.m.
Deer Lakes High School Alum and two-time KSWA Heavyweight Champion Double-A Anthony Alexander will enter the ring Friday Night as holding the Commonwealth’s most prestigious title some 525 days. Although Alexander’s second reign has been COVID-affected, the Champion remains ready to take on all comers. In fact, Bobby O has hand-selected Alexander’s opponent for this important return engagement.
All of the KSWA gold is on the line this Friday night. The Golden Triangle Champion Shane Starr will take on the ever-vigilant Bubba the Bulldog for the title that defines the City of Champions. Bubba is eager to reclaim the Golden Triangle Championship and Shane Starr has doubled-down his efforts to prove that he is a fighting champion of the people.
“The Professional” Harley T. Morris has been the most active wrestler on the KSWA roster. Traveling to different states with non-Pennsylvania rules, Morris has wrestled actively over the past year (although nowhere near a standard KSWA calendar) and has remained as sharp as anyone. He will take on a big task with “Big Country” Matt McGraw. The 300-pounder is looking for his first title in the KSWA, which means this will be a hard-fought, heavy-fisted go-‘round between two KSWA Megastars.
The Unsolved Mystery of who attacked KSWA Tag Team Champion BROhemoth has not been solved. Perhaps the Krazies will know more in the very special KSWA Tag Team Triple Threat Title Match. Champions The Best Bros Around—BROhemoth and Mitch Napier—face off against the team of Lucio Deveer and Malaki Gage as well as “The Good Guys”, Zak Hunter and Noctus (along with their manager Ronnie Starks). This match will showcase some of the better tag teams in the Western Pennsylvania region. Not only are The Best Bros Around multi-time champions and excellent technicians, the team of Deveer and Gage has proven themselves to be worthy competitors in any match. Hunter and Noctus—collectively the “Good Guys”—have had success anywhere they have gone over the past few years. Hunter has had other tag team partners in the KSWA (including BROhemoth), but this teammate promises to be fortunate.
“The Face of Pittsburgh” Lou Martin and “King” Del Douglas continue their long-time feud in one-on-one competition Friday night. Both veteran Megastars have been chomping at the preverbal “bit” to get back into the squared circle. Both men have been training for their return and “The King” has been as surly as ever. Some pent-up frustration will be expelled for sure in this match.
And Pittsburgh’s favorite Luchadore, Yinza, will face off with frequent foe, the returning Cleveland Bruiser. Like Morris, The Bruiser has taken the opportunity to battle elsewhere with the Keystone State shuttered to most cards. It’s with good authority that we know Yinza has been the most eager Megastar to get back in front of the Krazies. A tireless supporter of all things Pittsburgh, Yinza is ready to get back into the squared circle.
Tickets are $15 for General Admission. Limited chairs are available so fans are encouraged to bring their own chairs.Masks and CDC-spacing guidelines will be enforced.
