Shawn Blanchard, former 6-time Keystone State Wrestling Alliance (KSWA) Heavyweight Champion is the city of Pittsburgh's most decorated Independent Professional Wrestler. He is a six-time former KSWA Tag Team Champion and one of the region's most well-known grapplers. Inside the squared circle, Blanchard is a villain, often ready to do whatever it takes to win a match or a title.

On Sunday, September 12, 2021 the veterans of American Legion Sheraden Langley Post 496 helped give this Pittsburgh legend his own day.

Pittsburgh City Councilwoman Theresa Kail-Smith surprised Blanchard, along with other KSWA Megastars, and promotion owner Bobby O with a city proclamation honoring the wrestler, who has been sidelined from in-ring action because of an injury.

The usually grumpy grappler gladly accepted the city award, as well as a "Jagoff of the Year" from the staff and members of the Legion Post. In the past, the Legion has honored Lou Martin and "King" Del Douglas as "Wrestler of the Year". Scholz and fellow Legion member Kurt Perrucci have spearheaded the five KSWA matches that have been held at the Sheraden location since 2018.

Blanchard, Douglas, Martin, "Big Country" Matt McGraw, Bobby O and ring announcer Trapper Tom were on hand at the Legion for a Pittsburgh Steeler season-opening fundraiser.

The KSWA returns to the Sheraden Legion Post 496 on Saturday, September 25.
