The Road to FanFest has officially begun, and some aspects of the Keystone State Wrestling Alliance (KSWA) have gotten particularly muddy.

With former KSWA Heavyweight Champion Anthony Alexander turning on his former KSWA Tag Team Champion Shane Starr last Saturday in Millvale, much of the locker room is still in flux.

Starr will have an opportunity to reclaim the KSWA World Heavyweight Championship, which he held from 2013 to 2015. While Starr is still reeling from being planted by Alexander with a Prime Time Cancellation, J-Ru successfully defended in a Fatal Fourway and then against the Pittsburgh Luchadore. The Commonwealth’s most coveted championship has been taken seriously by J-Ru and he will not be eager to let it go.

The Golden Triangle Championship match will be a Triple Threat contest between "The Face of Pittsburgh" Lou Martin, the Pittsburgh Luchadore, Yinza, and Shawn Blanchard (w/"King" Del Douglas). Martin has his hands full with Blanchard and Douglas, but Yinza will be the definite wild card in this match. As intelligent a grappler as there is, Yinza has a unique chance to grab the KSWA Heavyweight Championship. This will be one to watch.

We may be able to learn more from Alexander as he takes on long-time friend Justin Sane in one-on-one action. Since returning from injury about a year ago, Sane has had a resurgence of sorts in his career, and he will be eager to find out why The Prime Time Player crossed over to the other locker room.

Two Megastars who have been surging in recent weeks are "The Professional" Harley T. Morris and "The Ram" Anthony Drake. While Morris is once again a tag team champion, he still has rivalries in the singles division. "The Ram" has used his immense power to his advantage, so this will be an interesting contest between two intense wrestlers.

Two more Megastars–"The Leader of the Grayson Nation," Tyler Grayson and the veteran Sin Born will have a hard-hitting match with some high-flying and technical prowess. A popular Megastar in the vein of Kris Kash and Mitch Napier, Grayson is still a very young, but talented wrestler. Sin Born continues to impress the KSWA Championship Committee.

Joey Quervo returned to the KSWA at Millvale Days and was pinned by "Big Country" Matt McGraw nearly before things got started. Will he be able to stand more than 1:58 minutes against McGraw, who continues to search high and low for the reclusive and elusive Man Child.

The KSWA returns to MJ’s Steel City Saloon, 682 Cliff Mine Road, Coraopolis, 15108 on Saturday, September 24, 2022, with a 6 p.m. bell time. Tickets are (picnic tables seat 6 for $100, fire tables seat 4 for $75, and general admission is $15). For more information, call 412-726-1762; card is subject to change.
